Seeing the leis in Hobby Lobby inspired T to start hula dancing! My niece snapped a picture of him with her phone. :)

Blog Button
WooHoo!! ~A blog button...for my blog! :)
I finally figured out how to create a button (with the help of my husband)...and then how to get it on my blog (with the help of other bloggers). ~So happy, I am!
(Sometimes, it doesn't take much, does it?)

Happy Easter!
I love the hymn, Christ Arose. It so captures the message of Easter. :)
"He is not here; for He is risen, as He said." ~Matthew 28:6a
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
lyrics and music ~ Robert Lowry, 1826-1899

Hail Storm
We had the biggest hail storm mid-afternoon today. It went on and on...and on....
I brought some hail inside to show T. He'd never seen it up-close-and-personal before.
He was intrigued. So much so, in fact, that he went to the back hall closet and retrieved his winter boots. He wanted to go outside for an even closer look. :)

Four hours later, there was still hail on the ground!
Visit With Bekah
Miss Bekah posted on her family's blog some highlights from her time with T when he was in Tennessee. I couldn't help "borrowing" it for my blog...with her permission, of course! :)
~And I quote:
YAY!!!! T is back!

YAY!!!! T is back!
My precious little buddy just spent another two weeks with me and, as always, we had such a marvelous time together!
We toured Shiloh Battlefield and museum.
T worked so hard in his school time each day! During this visit, he learned to graph and to read and understand graphs.
He also learned to measure with a ruler...
...and to locate several more states on the map! T now knows and can name Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, and South Carolina!
This sweet friend wanted to give T a ride on the swing...
...so T asked to give him one!
This friend said, "I'm sorry, but I had to wear a hat to my lesson because I need a haircut and my hair is a mess!" T reached over and whisked off his hat and put it on his own head! :)
Our neighbor is T's big buddy!
One afternoon, we rode to the back of the farm to gather tadpoles.
T enjoyed watching his friends scoop them up!
This was so much fun!!! One afternoon, T and I pitched a tent in the front yard!
We had such fun setting it up and playing in it! (See how he loved it?!)
"Bekah's swing?" was still T's most frequent request. (I'm delighted by how much he enjoys it!)
We all went to my grandmother's house for supper one evening. T ate a big (and delicious!) supper. Afterward, we read some stories; then, content and with a full tummy, he reclined on the couch and fell fast asleep.
I love you, T, and I miss you!!!!!!

Tennessee Visit
I am sooo happy to have my sweet boy home! :)
My niece and I left on Thursday morning to drive to Tennessee. We were late leaving, so we didn't stop...other than once for gas and once for fast-food, which we got "to go." We made the 8 1/2 hour trip in...8 1/2 hours!
We spent two nights with Miss Bekah and her family. Then, my niece, T, and I left on Saturday morning for our trip home. Once again, we drove to Georgia and spent the night with my parents. It was a nice way to break up a relatively long trip, not to mention the fact that I love to see my parents! :)
We looked for one letterbox on the way to Georgia, but...more about that in another post. Other than that, it was a rather ordinary trip.
My husband drove over and met us at my parents' house on Saturday evening. I think he missed T as much as I did...and decided he couldn't wait until Sunday evening (when we were due to arrive home) to see him!
We were in two vehicles, of course; however, we all drove home on Sunday afternoon. I dropped off my niece at her house, and then I returned my rental car. From there, my husband, T, and I went to a Mexican restaurant for supper...and then home.
I like to travel...but it always is good to be home!
